Seriously, we were driving down the street in Hatteras, NC, and we see this monstrosity right next to the road.

It's nearly impossible to tell in this picture but the sand dune in the right of this picture is 90 ft tall. the little dots that you see are people walking around- it's totally nuts there-

I highly recommend making the trip up to the top- it's a hike but worth it in the end
